This week I was asked to make a picture blog of things that describe me – who I am and what my likes and dislikes are. Here it is! I hope you enjoy getting a glimpse into the life of Anna.

1. Hydrangeas. They are one of my favorite. I love the different faded colors on the petals.

2. Candles. Especially at night. The flickering glow warms my heart.

3. The ocean. The place where the sky and water meet on the horizon is my happy place.

4. Black. I just love the contrast of everything else against it.

5. Mountains. There is so much awe and majesty to behold with mountains.

6. Sea glass. I absolutely love searching for it. It’s like a scavenger hunt.

7. Maine. Where I grew up.

8. Wolves. There is just something about them. If I had a spirit animal – wolves would be it.

9. Pens. I have a slight obsession when it comes to collecting tools with which to write.

10. Journals. The same can be said of journals. I collect them faster than I fill them.

11. Books. Reading takes me places until I can go there myself.

12. Passport. And all that that entails.

13. Painting. The brushes, the paint, the swirling, it’s just all good stuff.

14. Bacara rose. Another one of my favorites. Also known as a black rose.

15. Old suitcases. They remind me of Anne of Green Gables.

16. Sister. I am proud to be one and have two.

17. Letters. Whose heart doesn’t flutter when they get a real letter in the mail?

18. Mugs. And it’s important that they don’t match. Mugs fit moods.

19. This sage-y blueish color is one of my favorite. I find it very calming.

20. Chalcedony. A gem that is an absolutely stunning aqua color.

21. Long roads that have no end in sight.

22. Attics. I’ve always found something magical about them.

23. J.R.R. Tolkien. A Genius.

24. Quotes. Collecting snippets of wisdom is a hobby of mine.

25. Apple orchards. It’s one of my favorite traditions.

26. Hedgehogs. I will own a hedgehog one day.

27. Black chandeliers. There is something haunting about them.

28. Pine cone wreaths. I make wreaths, but I like pine cone wreaths because they will last forever.

29. Split rail fences. Reminds me of simpler times.

30. Smiling. It’s my favorite.

31. Book stores. The smell, the atmosphere, the content…

32. Cobblestone streets. The uneven stones are wonderful.

33. Paper dahlia. Thank you Mrs. King for introducing me to this.

34. Coffee. No words. Just…coffee.

35. Tea. I have an almost equal love for tea as well.

36. Adventure. It fuels my heart and soul.

37. Backpacking. Carrying your home on your back. It’s brilliant.

38. Nature. The forest calls to me, and so I go.

39. The circus. They also live the gypsy life, but they do so with lions and tigers.

40. The stars and moon. Especially in Nepal.

Now these, these are things that are NOT me. Absolutely not.

41. Raw onions. Eww. No. Just no.

42. Spicy food. I just can’t take it! I do not have the capacity!

43. Pink camouflage. An inherent contradiction.

44. Fishing hooks. They scare me.

45. Rats. Tanzania made up my mind about that one.

46. Strong smelling lotions or perfumes. Too much. Way too much.

47. Sauerkraut. I’ve just never understood the appeal.

I hope you have enjoyed a brief look into my likes and dislikes. Until next time.
